Wow, loads this time, are you ready?
Sunday school- what a blessing to have incredible teachers who are right on. The Summer team of teachers are incredible! If you haven't been to Sunday school or Kids Bible Study, man oh man, are you missing out! We are doing Summer Kingdom Quest with Story Keepers! IT's fun! It's fantastic! We start at 9:25 with Praise and Worship - this is a moving experience! We have a short teaching about what the Bible story is, then the video - exciting! Then a short teaching again, and a fun craft that goes along with the story! Last week, I wonder whose house was built on a strong foundation or sinking sand? When the wind came up, did the house blow away? We were able to talk about the hurricanes and what happened to the houses built on the beach? Kaite, Leslie and Jodie are working this weekend.
Our Kids' Church Bible Study? We are looking at Jesus' ministry and what he did. Stephanie is a wonderful Bible teacher and working this weekend.
Camp Retreat! 18 families, about 40 people, plus some wonderful people coming to visit. It's gonna be fun! There is so much going on in Omaha this weekend too!
There are a few kids crafts but mostly, it is a time of fellowship and enjoying the view of relaxing. If your bored, your real close to allowing yourself to relax.
The New Building, very kewl! The walls are going up, the space is good size and the planning for furniture is in the works. Looking at the murals to be done. Need to go get pics from other spaces to see what we want. I have a pretty great idea of what we need.
Working on the teaching for the fall.
Until next time, enjoy the summer and come join us at church, we will be looking for you.
Carnival - August 9th from 12:30-4 p.m. Cost $4 per person or $10 per family plus a side dish to share. We will provide the meat.
Sign up for Awana August 9th too! Sign up for Sunday school too on August 9th.

Summer
What are you doing this summer? What has been your most favorite thing so far? Have you done what you really wanted yet?
Sure do miss all those beautiful children! God is really working on my heart this summer for the fall teaching. I am so excited about fall starting, okay, I know, we have to go through and enjoy the rest of the summer!

What about?
What about Paul? Has he been unjailed, let go, free yet? Not yet, but Brutus, his guard is coming around and it looks as though Brutus may or may not worship rocks any longer.
We have had a funtastic time during VBS! We rode Chariots today! It was so much fun!
We found out we are heading out again but this time to another really kewl place. A place that's known for it's pyamids and mummys. The story? Joseph - from prison to palace! Humm, I wonder what on earth we will encounter, besides knowing that God loves us so much! I wonder what the songs will be? I wonder what we will eat? I wonder...
Next years dates are....
June 6th - 11th Morning and Evening. Ages 4 and up.
The excitement, the challenge, the ahhhhs, the teachers, the leaders, the oh it's just too much, I just can't wait!
Registration will start in February, so mark your calendars now!

Vacation Bible School
Rome 64 A.D. Picture this...
Paul thown in house arrest and not the stockades because he was a Roman citizen. His guard was chained to him at all times. His house, very small. The world around him still kept going on. The Carpenters still made children's toys and furniture, the metal shop forged iron and metals for beautiful or not so beautiful things. The food shop, contained rat and mice cooked just the way you like it. The people, some were against this Jesus and some loved Jesus. Some had to go into the underground church and hide to worship the one true God. Those that knew Jesus would come together and pray and sing His praises. They would gather as families and talk about Jesus. The whole Rome was in arms about all that was happening.
VBS and KQ Summer is on the road to learn and live Bible times. Are you ready? We have some great staff who love children, love Jesus and can't wait to share the Good News with you! So come, stay awhile, sit and listen to Paul and what changed him from Saul to Paul.
VBS has night openings, days are full. June 7-12th 6-8:30 p.m. with a carnival on June 12th 6:30-8:30 (cost for carnival - $4 each or $10 per family), VBS $20 per child or $45 per family.
Come join us to step into Bible times and be surrounded with knowledge.
