It's almost May

Wow! Can you believe that this year went so fast? Just months ago, the children started school, some Sunday school and Awana.

Awana is coming to a close this year! We celebrate Wednesday night April 29th, at 6 p.m. We do have childcare available for those younger than 2. If you need to bring coloring books and crayons, please do to keep your little one busy. This night will be a celebration for what Jesus has done in your children and in this ministry. I have a celebration surprise for the parents, so come and join us at St. Paul's.

Goodbye Faith Westwood, we have enjoyed our stay.

Kingdom Quest is studying Paul's missions. We are enjoying two rooms that we hadn't had for a short time. We have an incredible summer planned for the kids!

We have a daytime summer bible study, 3 days a week, 2 hours a day; we have a wonderful Sunday school planned, we have a Family Campout in June (look below, all the information for these things are on here). AMEN Grill will be meeting on Wednesday nights during the summer. We have vacation Bible School June 7-12. If you sign up before April 30 it is much less than if you wait until afterwards.

Be faithful in the big and little things you have in your life. If you are committed to a place, stay there until God moves you. The blessings are on the otherside of your obedience. While there, don't condemn those around you, accept those that are not like you and love them anyway. Jesus went to everyone, he didn't stay with those that thought they knew the law, he went to everyone everywhere. The Bible says, "let no weapon formed against us prosper, all that rise up against us shall fall". In Timothy, he says let no one despise your youth. It doesn't matter that you can sit in church and pew sit, it matters that you have a relationship with Jesus. The gate is wide but narrow is the way, we can think that if we are a good person, if we do everything we are suppose to for the church,(that's the wide way) but we don't have a true, fruit bearing relationship with Jesus, that is the narrow way. That's the reason we press on, through the good, the bad, and the ugly and we know Jesus as our savior, we have survived and are not the victims.

See ya soon, have a blessed day!

Happy Easter

What an incredible God we serve!

To lay His son before us as a babe, to grow up and teach us how to love Him and how to be dedicated to God again. Let our hearts and minds remember the reason God sent His only begotten son, that WHOEVER believes in HIM shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus paid the price on Calvary for us, to take the punishment for our sins.
Would you give your child to God to do whatever He desires? He did just that just for you and for me. The price of a life for us. He was spat on, he was beat, he bore our sickness and disease, he hung on that cross and cried out to the father on behalf of the one who was beside him, he cried out, they know not what they do. He died and rose again on the third day, he appeared to many, gave us the Holy Spirit to teach us, and went to heaven.

As you celebrate this day with family, let the power of the cross not be far from your mind. Jesus loves you so very much and wants you to know the power of His love. Live for Him and not for the world.

Happy Resurrection Day!

Summer Bible Study for Kids - Diggin Deep, that's the way

Would you consider Summer Bible classes for your children? Could you bring them during the day? Should you do this really?

If we offered Bible classes on Tuesday - Thursday mornings, would this be something you would be interested in? It could be a continuation of Awana teaching, it could be considered deeper than Sunday school or Kids' Church.

Ages: New 2nd graders - 6th.

Curriculum: A fun, educational blend, but really digging deep for knowing and growing in Jesus. Kay Arthur's How to Study the Bible for Kids!

When: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. After Vacation Bible School (June 7-12), starting June 16- July 9th, break for a week, July 21 - August 5th. 7 weeks total. Those dates would be 6/16,6/17,6/23,6/24, 6/30, 7/1, 7/7, 7/8, 7/21, 7/22, 7/28,7/29, 8/4,8/5
Cost: $15.00, includes new Bible and Book for study.

Where: Basement classrooms

Why: To walk as a disciple of Jesus to grow in our faith.

It would keep your kids growing, it would give them a sense of community, and you could have 2 hours of bliss unless you chose to help out.

We are teaming with Healthy Living Ministry to do an exercise and nutrition program. Laura Cushing is our Senior's excercise coach. She is a young mom with two children of her own, married to a very nice guy. Her sister has written a curriculum to teach children how to love and care for their bodies. Her class will be on Wednesday after we complete our lessons for the day. It will be about 45 min. long.

Let me know by calling me here at the church or emailing me if this is something you would consider for your child.
